Blessing Sandy

I nearly drowned Saturday, March 26th. I was blissfully unaware of this fact, unconscious, floating facedown in the waves of Carmel beach when my friend, Sandy Tellkamp, noticed my distress and got the attention nearby rescuers. With their speediness, I received CPR on the beach and 36 hours of hospitalization before I returned to consciousness. While both of us give first thanks to our creator YHWH/God and savior Yeshua/Jesus Christ for saving us, I have a huge store of gratitude for her part in my return to life.
Sandy is a sweet, wise friend whose courage, servant's heart, spirit-lead wisdom and partnership in ministry have been a tremendous blessing. She has been serving with me in a Christian non-profit, House of Myrrh Ministries for the past year. Through this time, she has pushed past challenges to her health and finances but always has prioritized being available to serve God and others. She has prioritized learning new approaches and skills to minister and has also challenged me a number of times in our friendship and co-service. In all of this, she has faced a number of issues in finding work. She has bravely pursued a few career changes but these have not proven to be the right options and last month even her un-employment was depleted.
This reality caused her to almost refuse the ambulance trip she required along with being treated at the local hospital for shock and hypothermia after our time in the ocean. She knew that her MediCal had been cancelled when she was receiving unemployment and that she had no way to pay for these services. While we pray that there may be programs that can help her with this, I would like to invite my friends to give gifts to bless Sandy. Whether these help her pay medical bills, or ease her financial burden in any other ways, my heart will be lifted knowing that my friend is shown love in this way.
Therefore, in lieu of any flowers or gifts to me in my recovery and return to life, please contribute to help Bless Sandy!
