Alfred’s Plea for Help
Hello everyone, my name is Alfred & I’m 39 years old. Back in October of 2014 I suffered multiple strokes caused by the treatment I received when I had a cancerous brain tumor when I was 26 years old.
Since October 2014 my life has changed drastically – I have been living in a nursing facility, I have had multiple surgeries, I am paralyzed on my right side, I can’t walk or talk, and I have a feeding tube inserted into my stomach so I can get nourishment and medication.
A year and a half ago I created this "GoFundMe" account asking for help needing a High Back Wheelchair that can support my back & neck when I do therapy. Well, I would like to say Thank you all, who help me purchased my chair. My brother (Romieo/Obi) has posted some pictures of me and my Chair. I am back again to ask for your help. So, I can go home with my brother he's blessing me by moving me into his home and providing me with care.
My Health Insurance is asking him to make some changes to his home to make it Handicap-accessible for me. Please help me get home and out of this Nursing Home Facility. I need to receive the proper therapy that will better me, rather than the therapy approach of "maintaining" and not "progressing" from the nursing home. I need aggressive speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy, also special injections. I will recieve this treatment outside of the nursing home.
As you know I’m not able to speak or write at this moment so this plea is narrated by my brother Romie’o “Obi” Ogbolu. To all my Family & Friends whatever you can do to help me on my road to recovery is very much appreciated. My dream is to get the therapy I need so I can live a normal life like before or just to walk and talk again.
Remember we can move mountains with the power of numbers.
