Daya's College Fund for Biola

My name is Dayana Salazar. I have recently graduated high school and will attend Biola University this upcoming Fall. For a total of six generations I will be the very first to go to college. My parents are both Salvadorians and had me when they were in high school. My dream is to go to college and major in Biology, to continue onto obtaining my masters, and eventually my Doctorate and become a pediatrician. I need $6000 to start my first semester at Biola. I want to attend that school to grow in knowledge and with God, and make my family proud so that my younger siblings and cousins see that it is possible that we can make it to college. This has been one of my biggest goals and dreams and I am determined to work as hard as I have to to achieve my goals and dreams.

My mom brought us to this country when I was eight years old and my sister was four, the moment I came I told myself i would work hard and graduate high school and go to college. I am a DACA student, graduated high school with high honors and now I’m heading towards a private christian university. DACA allows AB540 kids from other countries become eligible non-citizens and gives them the privilege to have a social security number, have a work permit.I will continue to persist. Even though my parents are separated, I have not let that burden become a stop in my studies. I want to succeed and make my parents proud but most importantly I want to do this for myself so that i can say I made it. I am trying to fundraise the money for my tuition as soon as a can since i start school on August.I would greatly appreciate any donation made, even the smallest amounts help. Every dollar raised will be a great help and blessing to me.
