My wife, Beth Owl's Daughter (Livingston), was diagnosed in 2016 with metastatic breast cancer. She had a long road to recovery, with multiple surgeries, four months of chemotherapy and six weeks of radiation.
After about 18 months of respite, she is now facing a new surgery and cancer diagnosis, this time in her GI tract. This is a difficult setback, although we are hopeful for the outcome.
Beth has been a friend to so many, and a metaphysical teacher and guide in the Triangle for decades, supporting her colleagues and providing spiritual sustenance to her clients with love and care.
Perhaps you haven't had the opportunity to know Beth personally, but have gotten to know her through her blog where she shares bits of magic and wisdom nearly every day.
Beth has given selflessly to our community for years - and she would be so grateful if you are able to give back. She is fortunate to be covered by Medicare, but as many of you may know, it will pay only a portion of her medical expenses, and there are co-pays and deductibles and other ancillary expenses that mount up. In addition, she will be unable to work for awhile and, frankly, we are struggling at times with basic living expenses.
