Chapter Events and Initiatives

We hope this communication finds you well! For those of you who may not know, this summer the state of Louisiana and the 9thDistrict is set to host the 81stGrand Conclave of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated. The conclave will take place from July 20th– July 24thin New Orleans, LA.
For the past few months, brothers of the chapter have been brainstorming on things we will need in order to make these events a success. Through our discussions we not only have decided on things we will need for conclave, but have also uncovered certain initiatives we need to put in motion that will help improve the functionality of our chapter!
Below I have detailed a broad overview of these initiatives and also how we plan to fund them. Attached you will find a more detailed description of these initiatives, agendas and budgets for events, t-shirt designs, and the overall aim of what we are trying to accomplish this year as a chapter!
Brothers it is our aim to improve communication and structure of our chapter so that we can more efficiently utilize the talents of the many great brothers who have been initiated at Beta Sigma!

Conclave:
- Secure chapter AirBnB (Rental Home) for brothers to have central location to fellowship and congregate for the weekend
- Chapter T-Shirt Fundraiser (See attached for design)
- Participate in Chapter Conclave Cook-off
- Award two Beta Sigma Roux Scholarships totaling $1,500 (2 $750 awards to incoming freshman)
Chapter Initiatives:
- Design, develop, and launch new chapter website
- Create Beta Sigma Foundation:
- 501(c)(3) established to support the Beta Sigma Chapter
- Used to collect tax-deductible contributions
- Contributions will support scholarships and chapter initiatives
- Organization officers will be voted on by governing body
- Funds will be reviewed and audited by independent accountant
- Make contribution to Beta Sigma Endowment Fund
Funding Goals:
- $100 per chapter brother
- Money collected will fund all initiatives listed above
