Update! 501(c)(3) status approved on December 13!
We applied for a grant that has a matching component, so when the time comes we will need your help to raise $1000. IF we are approved, I will let you know.
I've increased the dollar amount needed, because we will need a shelter sooner than later. Every penny we get will go into getting cats spayed and neutered and either released back into their colony (ferals) or adopted if they are suitable for pets. If we can secure a centrally located building, it would go a long way in helping keep these cats safe while they recover or wait for their new homes.
Even if you can only give $1, it will buy at least one can of cat food. $5 can feed 5+ cats, and so on. If 50 people give just $1, we can pay for a spay/neuter surgery. If 50 people give $5, we can spay/neuter up to 10 cats!
The Mission:
· Trap Neuter Release – locating and sterilizing adult feral cats that cannot be re-homed as pets. (Community Cats) Minimum veterinary care includes sterilization surgery and rabies vaccination. Additional care provided on an as needed basis.
· Trap Neuter Re-home – capturing stray and abandoned adult cats as well as stray, abandoned, and feral kittens that can be re-homed as pets. Minimum veterinary care includes sterilization surgery, and vaccinations. Additional care provided on an as needed basis.
· Opening a no-kill cat shelter and working with other rescue organizations in finding foster and adoptive homes for stray cats and stray or feral kittens that can become family pets as well as supporting individuals who currently care for feral cat colonies.
Please help if you can. Every little bit counts!
