Barry Ritchie's Funeral expenses
Our Father, Barry Ritchie, drove a Big Rig the majority of his life. His love for the road stemmed from the love of cars throughout high school and into his adult years. He loved his family which includes four sons and a daughter, and did whatever necessary to make sure his kids had whatever they needed. He was a great man who brought a smile to everyone's face and didn't think twice about taking a jab at you to make you laugh. We all have countless memories of his jokes and wise cracks as far back as we can remember.
On Sept. 30 2015 this great man passed away. He has had several surgeries to correct aortic aneurysms over the years. During the last surgery, he ran into complications which led him to flatline and needing his heart massaged back to life. After a week of complications, being in and out of sedation while fighting for his life, Barry succumb to his ailments. Early in the morning on Sept. 30th 2015 his fight ended and he left this world to be at peace and rest with out pain.
My brothers and I are now dealing with my Father's afterlife care. The amount of love and support we have received has been eye opening, but the cost associated with the funeral is something for which we were not prepared. We are not one's to reach out and ask anyone for something like this, but we feel like if there is a time to ask for help by the kindness of peoples hearts, this would be the time. We are humble, and very gracious for any help that can be offered to us in this hard time.
We have decided to have a wake for him rather then a typical funeral, Our father would want it that way, Telling jokes reliving the memories and being happy with those who loved him and love us. We are trying to raise around $5,000 to help cover the fees as well as the cost of the wake. Rest assured that your donations will be used to preserve the memory and create a lasting legacy for this great man we had the pleasure and honor of calling our father. We thank you all in advance, and even if its not an option for you to help out in a monetary way we thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
