Hi!
My name is Payton but my parents call me Baby Payton because I'm their baby. My life has been pretty great for the most part, I just turned 10 last December. I'd like to share my story with you if I can. I was born on December 23, 2005. It was only me and my brother who survived my liter, my other three siblings past away at birth. I was also the runt of the liter which my mom always tells me that makes me extra special.
The first year was great, I got to play with my sister, run around the house and play all day and take a lot a naps throughout the day which was great. By age 2 mom & dad found a lump on my hip which ended up being cancer so they had it removed. At age 4 I started limping really bad and it became harder each day to get around so I had acl surgery and total reconstructive knee surgery done. The doctor made me feel like a kid again!!
After the age of 7 I started having really bad allergies, ear infections, problems with my paws, and so on. Through it all Pet Partners insurance was handling all of these issues and really helping out mom and day with paying for most of my medical bills. Now at age 10
I need to have elongated soft palate surgery that is not covered by insurance because they insurance company says it's an inherited trait and they don't cover that because I'm an English Bulldog. If I don't have this surgery my breathing will get worse, I'm already having difficulties eatting and drinking. I don't get to go for walks because I can't get overworked because then I can't breath. My mom & dad have done everything for me and have kept me comfortable, I'm just worried about my family and how they are going to get the money together for my big surgery.
I have a consultation with my surgeon on Weds March 30th to see what I will be going through and the risks that are involved with the whole process. If I don't get this done, my breathing will become more labored and eventually my lungs will start to fill with fluid. I really want to feel better and if I get this surgery I'll be able to breath so much better.
So even if it's only a couple of bucks I would really appreciate. I want to be able to go on walks again with my family and enjoy a car ride again. I hope you can find it in your hearts to help me and my family out. I will keep you posted on what happens next.
Thank you all for reading my story.
Lots of love & smooches to you all
