Babita has been accepted to The Crown College of the Bible in Powell, Tennessee!
As a Nepali, this is huge because beginning this fall, she will have the chance to study early childhood education with a foundation in Biblical studies. We are so excited for Babita, because this puts her on the path she has long felt God calling her to — opening Christian schools in western Nepal where the population of believers is slim to none.
Babita needs your prayers and support.
If you don't know Babita, she has spent most of her life living at the Abba House Children's Home in Kathmandu, Nepal. Because of this, she can grasp —far better than most of us! — the truth that children are one of the most fruitful mission fields in countries where the Gospel is not able to be freely shared. She envisions sharing Jesus with an entire generation that would otherwise grow up in darkness.
Babita is a very hard worker with a strong determination. She leads Sunday school, tutors local school children and always step up to help at Abba House.
As you know, Nepal continues to suffer extreme hardships these days. First were the earthquakes, followed by severe fuel and food shortages. During these hardships, on top of having grown up in an orphanage, Babita has kept an upbeat spirit, always depending upon the Lord for strength. She believes strongly that studying in the United States is God’s plan for her, and so do we.
Before Babita can apply for her student visa and travel here in July, she needs one year's tuition and airfare. Babita has worked and saved for years, but economic hardships in Nepal make reaching this goal simply not possible.
Please consider helping Babita raise the funds she needs to get to school. We trust that God has a plan for seeing this through, and we are always grateful for the way He blesses us through all of you.
