UPDATE 2019:

We can’t thank everyone enough for the past donations that helped Keisha and her young family to get through the expenses of chemotherapy! Unfortunately, the cancer that moved to her liver is not reducing with chemo. Her family is now hoping to travel to MD Anderson in Texas for a new treatment but we need your help! Please donate whatever you can and THANK YOU for your support!

A Letter from Keisha’s Sister

Hi, my name is Jillian Goff, but more importantly my sister's name is Keisha Creekmore. If you've never met my sister, then I can honestly say you're missing out on something really special. You see my sister is the kindest, most generous and faithful person I know. However, it seems that cancer doesn't really matter who you are, or how truly wonderful of a person you are.

Two years ago my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. She immediately had a recommended double mastectomy. In February after her surgeries, we received the best news ever, my sister was pregnant! Unfortunately, the summer during her pregnancy, we learned that she now had metastatic breast cancer.

The doctors explained that her cancer was now considered stage four because it had moved to one of her vital organs, her liver. Throughout this past year, my sister had gone through several rounds of chemo and other treatments that failed. She recently tried a medication that was supposed to prevent the tumors from growing. That failed too.

So this leads us up to our last conversation with her oncologist. Dr. B explained that the tumors were growing, and my sister's liver is not healthy enough to go through more rounds of chemo. This doctor, who has helped my family greatly, explained that it was most likely time to let the cancer take it's course, to keep my sister as comfortable as possible, and to celebrate her life.

As I stated before, my sister is the most faithful person I know. As I cried over this doctor's words, she looked at me and said, "Jill, he's wrong, I know God is going to heal me. I'm not worried." Even on the hardest days my sister continuously reminds us of God's glory and power. We know that God's plan is greater than our own. We know that God's timing is always perfect. We know that with God, nothing is impossible. God can do what doctors cannot. God can restore faith in his children through the absolute worst circumstances.

With full faith in Jesus Christ and his healing powers, we began doing research and talking to other stage four cancer survivors. We've learned about the miraculous healings that are occurring in Houston, Texas. Cancer patients around the world are traveling to MD Anderson, where a full staff of oncologists work together to treat every patient. This facility is highly known and respected in the world of oncology.

The downfall is like they always say, "you get what you pay for." A consultation alone with these doctors is going to be thousands of dollars. This is just to look at my sister's past reports, complete up to date scans, and to create a plan of action. If she is able to be treated here, it will most likely take a year, costing over $100,000.

If you are wondering how in the world this can be this expensive, let me explain. My sister has worked her entire life, since she was sixteen. She was a hard worker, and a dedicated one at that. Cancer, though, doesn't seem to care about work ethics. Cancer with a combination of chemotherapy will send the very best workers to the unemployment line leaving that person with no health insurance.

After my sister took her long term leave, her insurance was dropped. Medicaid won't help. Medicare is making her wait up to two years. I promise, my mother has tried every angle and every system possible to get my sister insurance and quickly. However, the problem is this all takes time, and time is the one thing we don't have.

Cancer is a selfish and impatient disease. It takes what it wants, when it wants. It doesn't wait for when you are ready. It takes, and then takes some more, leaving you with nothing but faith in a miracle.

So today, I am asking you to please help my sister. If you know me, one of my biggest flaws is pride. I hate asking people for things, but today I am asking. I am asking for your help to send my sister to Houston. I am asking you to give her hope. I am asking you to give her a life of raising that adorable kid of hers. If this wasn't serious and urgent, I wouldn't be asking, but this is urgent. My sister needs help immediately because like I said before, cancer doesn't wait for anyone.

Sincerely,
Jillian Goff

2018
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of 2017.  My Grandfather passed away due to the BRCA1 Gene and after his death, the women in our family decided to get tested. Those that tested positive, took preventative measures and are now survivors due to early detection.

I was also tested positive and went through surgery. Unfortunately, the measures I took did not stop the cancer from returning. I have been diagnosed with Stage IV liver cancer.

In happier news,  I’m now six months pregnant with a baby girl named Harper Alysse. She is currently 2 lbs 2 ounces and we can’t wait to meet her. I am thankful that the chemotherapy treatment I have recently started to fight the cancer does not affect Harper in any way.

It was suggested that I setup this account to help with my bills, as I am not able to work while in treatment.  I didn’t want to do this at first but then I realized we all need help sometimes and the bills that accumulate with cancer treatment are overwhelming.

I tell myself and others that you can’t be afraid of cancer and that it’s not “my cancer”. It happens to a lot of people.  I believe in God and His miracles.  All I have to do now is to have faith and know that the Lord will take this liver cancer from my body.  I will be His miracle and living testimony.

The Bible says that His plan for me is to not perish but to have life and have it more abundantly.  His plan for me is to grow and prosper and I execute the release of my healing miracle today in the authority of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.  What the devil intended to destroy me with will be destroyed by the grace and healing power of God.  Please continue to pray for me and my family. Prayer changes things.

Your financial support is greatly appreciated and I pray that God will return the blessing back to you for your giving.  The money you donate will be used for our medical expenses and bills.

I love you guys,
Keisha, Cody and Harper
