New Zamboni For BGC Berkshires!

$1,150 of $4,050 goal

Raised by 16 people in 29 months

 PITTSFIELD, MA
The Boys and Girls Club of the Berkshires   and the Berkshire Bruins set out on a hefty goal in March to replace our current Zamboni ice resurfacer. The goal seemed insurmountable- The idea that we could raise over $60,000 seemed impossible. The zamboni that we currently have has been in use since 1976, making it 40 years old!

With gracious community and corporate support, WE ARE IN THE HOME STRETCH! We have reached 95% of our goal! But, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please consider a donation to the Zamboni GoFundMe page to help us collect the final $3,000! With just a few more small donations, we can make Pittsfield the permanent home for this beautiful rebuilt machine!

What a great cause! Many skaters have gone through programs at the club and benefited from the current Zamboni!

Hate to burst the bubble but how about using some of the $15 million stock portfolio that the club has? Why cry poor! I am all for giving to the kids but what the hell? This club has more money that you or I will ever have.

photo of the zamboni stuck on the rink in the middle of a show a few years ago. They build a wall of mats around it so the skaters could "safely" skate around it. https://www.flickr.com/photos/katiemalone/6826656736/in/album-72157629561811421/lightbox/
