Boys & Girls Clubs Bowl I - Go Seahawks!
Boys & Girls Club Bowl I!
To celebrate Super Bowl XLVIII, Boys & Girls Clubs of King County (Seattle) has challenged Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver to a fundraising competition to support kids!
In honor of Super Bowl XLVIII, the Club that raises the most money by February 4th will be declared the winner of Boys & Girls Clubs Bowl I. If the Denver Clubs lose, their Denver Broncos Boys & Girls Club kids and staff have to wear Seahawks Blue for a day. If the Seattle Clubs lose, our King County Boys & Girls Club kids and staff have to wear Broncos Orange for a day. Don't let the Seattle Club kids wear Broncos Orange!
UPDATE (1/30): Donors of $48 or more will be entered into a drawing* to win a Seahawks replica helmet autographed by our cornerback, #25 Richard Sherman. Here's your chance to be part of the Legion of Boom! (Thanks to Richard Sherman and our friends at Coca-Cola for donating the helmet.)
Boys & Girls Clubs of King County is proud to have a strong community partner in the Seattle Seahawks. Since 2006, our YouthForce teen employment program has partnered with the Seahawks to provide more than 800 teens entry-level work experiences as the "Hawk Squad" during home games. Teens develop customer service, communication, team work, leadership, and problem solving skills in the exciting atmosphere of home football games at CenturyLink Stadium.
In the end, all of our Club kids are the winners. Instead of "trash talking" our rivals in Denver, we posed this "treasure talking" championship challenge to our colleagues in Denver.
Your donation will help the more than 15,000 youth and teens Boys & Girls Clubs of King County serves each year. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Unfortunately, Denver came back from behind in the final minutes to raise $28,500 for their Clubs.
Although we lost the official challenge, I thank you again for all your efforts in promoting this fun competition with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. With such an outpouring of support from both communities, all of our kids are winners!
Congratulations also go out to Michelle L., the winner of the Richard Sherman autographed helmet!
A bet is a bet, and our kids will wear Broncos orange in the near future. To see the photos, follow us on social media (see links in the update below).
Thank you again, Seattle!
Thank you all for generously giving to support Seattle-area Club kids. We only have a few hours left, and we need your help!
We know Denver is planning a last minute offensive, and we want to be ready to defend. If each person who has contributed could get one additional person to give, we'll be headed to victory!
Spread the word to your networks, and keep tabs on our social media!
THANK YOU! LET"S WIN FOR OUR KIDS!
Let's keep this winning momentum going. Our Club kids are trailing Denver by about $3,000 in the BGC Bowl, but it's not too late! The BGC Bowl ends in about 24 hours on Tuesday at noon. Now is the time to rally the 12th Man around Club kids!
Remember that donors of $48 or more will be entered to win an autographed Richard Sherman helmet! (Note: if you made a prior gift of less than $48, yes - you can make a second gift to equal $48 total and be entered in the drawing.)
Kids at our Bainbridge Island Club are celebrating the Seahawks win ... won't you help them celebrate a BGC Bowl win tomorrow?
Thank you from all the BGCKC kids and staff!
