Blanket Fort Films Student Projects
Blanket Fort Films is a nonprofit film production company that empowers filmmakers from underrepresented communities (LGBTQ, POC, and Women) through cost-free access to motion picture education and gear.
We’re the second year of students to be completing this program which includes creating and producing These short films with your help:
-A dramedy featuring a young queer millennial reconciling what it means to be single.
-A Sci-fi dystopian future where femmes have been pushed into hiding by rampant toxic masculinity.
-A creative video celebrating local queer and trans performers of color!
-A visual exploration of identity that challenges the construct of societal labels.
To ensure these films are made to the best of our ability, we’re hoping to reach a goal of $3,000 to be split amongst our three film concepts. This budget will allow us to pay our talent, locations/permits, provide craft services, and for makeup/costumes, SFX and other miscellaneous costs that filmmaking often requires.
