My name is Carla Silva and I'm asking for your support on behalf of my beautiful godmother, Augusta Almeida. A couple of years back she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer and it's been a very long and overwhelming fight ever since. Through various doses of chemotherapy and countless surgeries, the doctors have discovered that the tumor cannot be removed due to being on the bone and surrounded by blood vessels; They say she will never be cured.
But she's not losing hope! My godmother has been a fighter since day one and no matter the news, she's not giving up, "I have my babies to fight for." She is raising 4 amazing and loving kids all on her own and they're her constant motivation. Between helping her cook, watching movies all night, hugging her/holding her hand when she's down or in pain - they never leave their mother's side.
Today, she is back on chemotherapy in hopes that the tumor shrinks for the surgeons to go back in to remove it. For that reason, I am starting this page for those that would like to donate and help her keep fighting this battle she is longed to win. My godmother is one the strongest woman I have ever known and I have faith that if anyone can beat this disease, its her!

** On July 28, after such a long and difficult fight, my godmother has restfully passed away. She held on till the very last minute. As much as she didn't want to give up, I know that now she is in a better place where she can finally smile and be happy watching over all of us.
Now as we take each day at a time, I am concerned about the children more than anything. I am leaving the page online for anyone who would like to contribute in our help for her 4 beautiful little children: Dante - 11, Nicholas - 10, Skye - 9, and Mikey - 8.
She fought so hard for them and now it's our turn to fight for her.
