Help me Fight Liver Cancer!

My name is Aster Adams. I just turned 56 years old and was diagnosed with a metastasized liver cancer.  My youngest child of five, Marie-Paula, is a 14-year cancer survivor and continues to struggle with her health. Last fall she was hospitalized in intensive care for pancreatitis, and she was hospitalized in February  for other health issues. My wife and I have been separated since October 2014. She is currently not employed and is actively looking for a job.

The money I am raising will be used to help with medical expenses and fill a three-month gap without income between short-term and long-term disability.  I will soon begin short-term disability, which means that for 13 weeks my income will be reduced to 60%. To receive long-term disability, I would first have to wait another 13 weeks without benefits, at NO income.

Financial support is needed now as I will start radiation and chemotherapy this week of February 22nd. 

Receiving this financial support will mean a lot to me. During treatment for cancer, it is very important not to crowd one's mind with worries.
