These funds will go as a Memorial to Ashlyn (Ash) Haffner, age 16, whose short life ended on Feburary 26, 2015, to help Ash's mother April Quick & family with expenses.
Ash was a "free spirit" who struggled with the way others reacted to her. Ash could make anyone laugh or smile because they were so fun to be around and had a big heart. Ash was so full of life. Ash was an amazing person with a beautiful talent for music. Ash enjoyed writing music, playing guitar/keyboard and singing. Ash also loved rainbows, unicorns and absolutely adored their siblings. More importantly Ash stood up for what they believed in and was always there for their friends. Ash would have been the first person to help anyone get through a difficult time and encourage them to stay strong, that things would get better. But overall, Ash was a beautiful unique individual who sought to express their thoughts and be themself. Ash was the type of person who wanted to change the world and make society a better place for us all. Ash was a victim of bullying moreso for being an LGBT child. The bullying and unacceptance had a huge impact on Ash's fragile life. Ash's life should have an impact on people to change the way they think and act towards others. People need to realize the impact that they have on others regardless of whether you are the bully or a bystander. Everyone should stand up for each other and make a difference, so Ash Haffner did not die in vain. Ash, we love you and you will be greatly missed.
