Now that I've hit the minimum I needed to cover to work on this game for the next month, I'm bumping the goal up to $1500. This will allow me to pay Moondragon Studios to do the artwork so that I can work on story & coding exclusively. This means a longer game ^_^ Thank you all so much for helping me hit this goal, and any extra funds I get beyond that will go towards making the game better & readying my house for sale.

Hi! I'm a weird gamedev who has been dealing with various health issues that have been interfering with my ability to do a physically strenuous job, as well as walk the 3 miles each way to where I work.
In mid-November I'm moving back with my family, but I'm not sure how well my health will hold up until then under my current work conditions.
What I'd like to do is be able to spend the next 6 weeks finishing my game "Apugalypse". It is about Sushi the Pug and her adventures helping people during a giant mech attack on New York City. To do this, I need to cover living expenses until I can move and sell my home. This will also give me a flexible work schedule that will allow me to get several badly damaged teeth pulled, at least 2 root canals and fillngs, and other minor health issues.
The $1000 I'm attempting to raise covers the following:
$400 lot rental
$35 water/sewage
$170 electricity
$80 Internet access
$15 phone
$25 web hosting
$20 health insurance
$255 food for me & my kid for a month
If I manage to get over the $1000, it'll go towards fixing small things around my home in prep for sale. If I get significantly over it, I'll be able to pay an artist and focus on story entirely.
"Why are you using Gofundme instead of kickstarter?" That is because I'm exclusively raising funds for living expenses while I work on my game. There are no extra expenses, and with my health being the driving factor in me setting this up, kickstarter just doesn't seem appropriate.
"Will you charge for your game?" Nope. Right now, I release my games for free and make funds via Patreon and donations on itch.io
