April has been a very active member of our #SPNFamily. If any of you are part of Supernatrural Sanctuary then you defintiely know who she is. She has a huge heart and a wonderful daughter. She's always got a smile, a laugh and a kind word to say. And she's totally ok with spoilers so what else could you ask for?! ;)
Unfortunatelty April is having a hard time right now. She has become very ill after coming home from NashCon 2016 with what she thought was nothing more than "Con Crud".
Now she's facing at least a year long recovery and is in danger of losing everything. Shelter, transportation, phones, food...basic necessities.
We're in the process of filing her applications for state and federal assistance, but if any of you have had to apply for these you know how crazy that process is. All the while the person who needs the assistance is quickly running out of time and funds.
April has used up any savings she had and we are now trying to help her bridge the gap until the assistance kicks in.
So I am asking that if you are able, please kick in a few dollars. Even $2 from each of us would make a huge difference.
And if you can't donate we totally understand. All we ask is that you share this campaign so it will reach far and wide through our Fandom.
April is living "Always Keep Fighting" right now, phyically & emotionally. So let's all show her that she's not alone and that her #SPNFamily is there for her!
Here is a more detailed description of what April has been going through in her own words...
"Ummm, okay, here goes. I went to the hospital with the flu on March 2nd and they sent me home to rest. Con Crud,right??
I returned on the 5th with pneumonia, H1N1, sepsis poisoning and Respiratory failure. I don't remember much about that stay but I did go home 6 days later with oxygen.
My only focus was to get back to work and I finally was released and started back April 18th! 2 weeks later I was back in the hospital for 10 days with pneumonia. My job called and fired me for missing work 5 days in.
It's just me and my daughter Hannah, so stress set in. 2 weeks after I was back for another stay.
I'm told I have ARDS due to the scarring on my lungs. It could be up to a year before it heals and I can't work.
A simple cold could cause me to be hospitalized for pneumonia right now.
I've never been in the hospital before March, never had oxygen, could breathe when I walk...
to top it off my prolactin levels indicate my pituitary tumor is back.
Life is just doctors and oxygen right now.
My daughter is coping the best a 15 year old can and I'm just trying my best not to get sick again.
We have no income, but awesome friends who are helping me figure out how to apply for help.
My family has been helping too.
I don't like asking for help, I don't think anyone really does.
I'm just trying to stay afloat and keep Hannah's life as normal as possible. Love you all..."
