Applecheek Farm Barn Fire Help

Many of you know that the barn at Applecheek Farm in Hyde Park burned down a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately, no animal or human was injured. However, the financial loss was big for this family. I am reaching out here in hopes that our community can rally together to help this family out. Rocio and John are loving, generous, heart-centered and conscious people that are a blessing to our lives. My prayer is that we can give back to them to help them in these times. Even through this adversity, Rocio has shared many beautiful things with me about what this experience has shown her. My hope is that more blessings can come her way!
The following is a letter from Rocio:
A big thanks’ to our community for all the love and support during the last couple of weeks while we have been recovering from the Hay Barn fire. Unfortunately the “contents” of the building were not insured, that means that our hay was not insured. We lost 1000 round bales of dry certified organic hay, a value of aprox $46,000. This is all the hay we had produced this season to the point of the fire. The cost of cleaning up the hay is up to $8000 so far and this amount is not covered by the insurance either since the hay was not insured. Unfortunately this has put us in a financially challenging position as well as leaving us without enough hay for the animals and inadequate housing for the animals for the winter. If anyone would be willing to give a financial donation to help us through this challenging time we would be extremely grateful. It is very difficult to ask our community that has already given so much support over the years. It feels so much better to give than ask for support. If we could raise $35000 this would help us take care of the animals for the winter and keep our head above the water. With much love, peace and gratitude the Clarks and Applecheek Farm.
