The Moreland Sessions is a video series placing art (songwriters) in social spaces within the City of Moreland.

The second season presented by 'An Otherwise Quiet Room' The Moreland Sessions is co-produced and directed by Agostino Soldati Films, and made by a team of more than thirty artists, technicians and small business owners.

11 episodes depict three live duets with Mandy Connell, and interview with the artist and with the host of the business/space.  We are creating a book of the season, so that you can read about the place, the artist, their songs, and follow the development of the project from start to finish.

It's total cost is estimated at $12,706.00. This goes to paying our videographer, graphic designer, our amazing audio engineers, holding on to our domain name, radio,  printing and promotion.

11 episodes feature artists such as Dirt Hand, Liz Stringer, Van Walker, Ro, Malcolm Beveridge, Kylie Auldist, and John Fox.

We wish to acknowledge the Wurundjeri, past and present- the traditional caretakers of Moreland, where the series was filmed. We have been mindful of including performers from diverse backgrounds, and are aware that there is room for more development.

It's a work in progress, and your support and advice are valuable to us.

Thankyou for reading through this. We hope you enjoy the completed series.

I'm so pleased with how the book has turned out. The Beautiful work of Agostino Soldati and Craig Kelly has turned my crazy idea into a piece of proffessional looking art. I hope that it- and the bios in the back pages, are useful in getting further work for all of us who were involved in making it.

There are a few people who didn't end up with proper thanks in the book or on the launch night, who nevertheless helped make the launch event, the crowdfunding, and the book a reality. This project has involved many many funny and skilled people.

Ben Campbell and Aaryn Robinson helped make the first season. Not yet completed, it was a learning curve for me, and their enthusiasm and support helped make AOQR a reality.

Clare Bligh at Speakeasy Productions should have a credit for working on the PR for the Moreland Sessions AND the Yarra Sessions launch, helping with editing notes in the Yarra Sessions, and also for helping move this crazy idea from my head and onto a page.

Leanne Connell and John Fox both need credits for help with editing the book, the audio files, and monitoring the posts I put up on social media. I can't think how disastrously this may all have gone without you.

Justin Rudge and the Spotted Mallard took a complete gamble on this project. Their invitation to run the launch on their stage was a big honour and showed faith in my abilities to put together an economically viable event. It would have been very easy to dismiss the idea, which did not have the support of the council or the local festival, and had not been done before. I'm still not sure you could say I made any cash from it. Ha! But oh well- we had a great night and launched a brilliant set of videos.

I very much hope you are enjoying them. A new episode goes up every Thursday til the end of April.

Well, I don't quite know what to say. I can tell you, though, that the work put in by our whole team has been just brilliant. We've laughed, stared, sweated and Ago and the crew have dragged mountains of equipment up stairs and even on trams.

Any of your support for my friends, this crazy bunch of artists and technicians is definitely deserved. It will go towards their pay, but also towards making a book of the series, talking about the experience of making it, and featuring bios, images and information about the spaces we filmed in.

I believe this is a worthy project, and deserves support. I'm not doing it for the money, really. I spent loads making this. Actually, I'm pretty sure I got more than I paid for from all the crew too. If you would like to chip in to give it legs, I invite you to do that with pride and joy.

We loved making it and we think it's a great way to celebrate the artists and small businesses who contributed.

Thanks for your interest.
