Ethiopian Airlines Crash- Funds For Amina’s Family

We are friends of the family of Amina Ibrahim Odowa, who was travelling with her five-year old daughter, Sofia, on the ill-fated Ethiopian Airlines jet that crashed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, shortly after take-off on Sunday, March 10, 2019. All 157 people on the plane including Amina and her daughter were killed in the tragic crash.
Amina was a kind and generous soul who was full of life. She will be remembered fondly by everybody who has ever met her. She leaves behind two daughters aged seven and three years – who will grow up without the love and affection of their dear mum. Nothing will ever replace her in their lives. During this time of deep grief and unimaginable loss, finances should be the last thing on their minds.
We are reaching out to you all – friends, family and well-wishers – to raise funds to support Amina’s children during this very tragic and extremely difficult time. While the family has not requested that we set up this GoFundMe page, we have sought their blessing to do so – and they have reluctantly agreed.
All donations, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. All funds collected will be sent to the family to help offset any financial needs.
