MLC SYMPOSIUM 2024

Alliance MLC is a nonprofit organization founded in 2023 to support research and help families around the globe that are affected by Megalencephalic Leukoencephalopathy with Subcortical Cysts (MLC).

MLC is an extremely rare genetic brain disorder that consists of about 250 known cases worldwide but it is suspected that there are around 2000 cases including countries with unknown statistics.

We are committed to providing ongoing support for our families, as well as accelerating progress of MLC research with the ultimate goal of one day developing a treatment.

We are planning the first ever MLC Scientific Symposium on February 22-23, 2024!

Physicians and researchers around the world focusing on MLC will convene in Amsterdam for two days to discuss their projects. They will collaborate with the goal of creating a strong and fully aligned MLC network of scientists who will work together to advance MLC research and accelerate the path to clinical trials and ultimately a treatment.
