APSU 94 Yr Group Speech Day Project

St. Augustine’s College is a Senior High School located on the serene coastal stretch along the Atlantic Ocean in Cape Coast, Ghana, West Africa. Founded in 1930, this great institution has been instrumental in the development of generations of scholars, athletes, and national and international high-profile personalities over the decades. It is a stay-on campus boarding High School with a population of 1,950 students and faculty of about 88 members. Like many second cycle institutions in Ghana, the school has some recurrent infrastructural challenges which undermine and threaten the true academic performance of the current student body. The school’s infrastructure has been significantly decayed over the years due to many factors, including low funding, resulting in maintenance issues. This prolonged breakdown in the facilities has created some challenges in academic work and ancillary school life. APSU (Augustine’s Past Student’s Union) - 1994, in consultation with the school’s stakeholders: Headmaster, staff and the APSU National Executive Committee has tasked itself to raise funds for the refurbishment of the School’s on-site Clinic, Tennis & Basketball Courts as part of projects that will be presented at the 89th Anniversary and Commemoration in 2019. Funds raised will be used for: - Refurbishment of the chosen facilities - Purchase of medical equipment and supplies - Purchase of sports equipment - Purchase of furniture and other accessories The estimated total cost of the project stands at US $200,000.00. We have currently raised $120,500.00 and seek donations in all sums to help us realize this dream. No amount is too small and there's no maximum number of donations.
