1st Annual 'Ain't I a Woman' March

Black Women United is a recently founded organization in Sacramento, CA. We are dedicated to the education, protection, and advancement of Black women.
We are hosting our first event:
The 1st Annual 'Ain't I a Woman' March, which will take place on Saturday, July 15th, 2017. We will begin our march at Crocker Park and end at the California State Capitol, with a rally to follow.
Quite often, women of color are excluded and forgotten in the women's liberation movement.
Upon further reflection, we agreed that Black women deserved their own celebration, as they are often disrespected and silenced among other groups of women and within the Black community.
This an all-inclusive event and Black women from ALL walks of life are encouraged to attend.
Currently, we are seeking funding for this event. We need funds to cover the design and production of event t-shirts, flyers to advertise the march, the permit required by the city to close the streets, a rental of sound equipment and security.
We are a team of young, passionate and driven Black women who would love to see this event truly take off.
Please stand up in solidarity with us as we uplift our voices and fight for the rights and future of African American women.
