Tis the season for community giving!! This year, ADP's Central Florida region is excited to announce that we are sponsoring a local organization that needs our help to promote community awareness! Therefore, we would like to invite you to help!!
The organization we choose to dedicate our time and monetary donations to is the Children's Advocacy Center of Osceola. We chose this organization because it is one of the lesser-known, local, non-profit organizations that is lacks the funding and awareness a lot of larger, more well-known organizations in Central Florida do.
The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) provides services to children and non-offending family members that are victims of child sexual and physical abuse. CAC uses a multi-disciplinary approach coordinating law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, mental health, medical personnel and victim advocacy to provide the most comprehensive services available, so that children are not re-victimized by the very system in place to protect them. CAC also provides a comfortable child friendly atmosphere where the child can feel safe and staff are specially trained to deal with the issues of child victimization.
CAC understands the trauma of dealing with the disclosure of child abuse. By pairing up with partner agencies, they are able to provide services to hopefully make life easier for families as they navigate through the investigation, prosecution and follow-up process. Services provided are free of charge to all victims of child abuse and neglect and their non-offending family members.
Additionally, the CAC works to increase community awareness and understanding of child abuse as to the extent of abuse in our community and the services available to respond to and prevent abuse.
Therefore, we are taking it upon ourselves, as a team, to help the CAC reach out to our community a little further in order to procure monetary donations. For every dollar we raise, ADP will match as a gracious donation to help each child (and family) that is suffers from an unsafe living environment. 100% of the proceeds collected will go directly to Children's Advocacy Center - Osceola.
