Aaron & Alexandra's Wedding

Hi Everyone, 

Most of you will know me, some of you will not.

My name is Matt Scott. I'm here to try and raise as much money as possible for my good friends Aaron and Alexandra Groom.

Aaron and Alexandra have unfortunately missed out on their wedding day in Bali, due to a pre-existing medical condition of Aaron's becoming far more serious than it has ever been.

When Aaron was being developed in the womb they discovered that he has organs that don't stay where they should be. So where our colon, bowel etc stay in their position, Aarons float and they keep twisting on themselves. He had abdominal obstruction when he was born and had surgery as a newborn.

Over the years there were always episodes of it coming back but they gave him pain killers in hospital to help him ride it out. Five weeks ago it happened again, they performed keyhole surgery and got rid of deep scar tissue but told us that next time it happened, whenever that may be, they will need to perform a bigger operation to remove the remaining scar tissue which was from his intestines to his colon. When they went in the second time, they found a lot of his intestines had turned to concrete and parts of his bowel had died. They resected three parts of his bowel and removed all the scar tissue. Aaron was in hospital for 3 weeks, with Alexandra by his side day and night. He was discharged last Wednesday the 8th of June. Thursday morning at 12am he was back in  an ambulance because he had another obstruction. They performed another surgery  that day to remove it. 

The wedding day was scheduled for Monday 13th of June in Echo Beach, Bali. 

With Aaron clearly unable to attend, Alexandra made the decision to stay by her Husband's side. Everyone supported her decision and she hasn't left his side since.

Which is why i have started this fund.

I've given such an in depth explanation as to the circumstances that have occurred hoping that I/we can raise some kind of money and either organise another wedding once Aaron has made a full recovery or simply help them out with the money.

Aaron has obviously been out of work since and Alexandra has juggled Franklin the most energetic, polite and cute 2 year old in the world, Isaiah, the chubbiest little baby with a heart-breaking smile and Aaron's current medical circumstances. 

Aaron is the type of person that wouldn't want people to make a fuss, as most of you would know. At the end of the day, that doesn't matter, it's more so that we can show our love and support for the Grooms in this tough time that they are going through.
