On June 26, 2017, Cooper Duane Drudge fell from a second-story window onto a concrete driveway. Cooper suffered a skull and several spine fractures along with having experienced a stroke on the left side of his brain. Cooper had life-saving surgery to remove part of his skull to relieve the cranial pressure and stop the bleeding. This page was set up to assist the family, Travis & Jackie, with out of pocket costs occurred while staying with Cooper during his long-term acute inpatient hospital admission. Donations will also be utilized to cover expenses once Cooper is transferred to a Traumatic Brain Injury Trauma Center for his future rehabilitation needs (travel, lodging, meals, etc.). Donations may also be used to retrofit the Drudge’s residence to alleviate any disabilities that Cooper may have as a result of his injuries. Jackie is this campaigns listed beneficiary; as such, Jackie is the only one permitted to access your generous donations.

(08/23) Cooper is doing great! Everyday things are improving. Tomorrow we go for an MRI that will help decide when we go for surgery back at UI to put the skull back in. Then heading home to start a very busy schedule of out patient therapy.
(08/18) Cooper is eating approximately 2oz twice a day by mouth, sitting with help is improving dramatically. On Tuesday he started a standing program and has him weight bearing for at least 30 min three times a week. Cooper has also started using his voice and a couple of times tried to talk. ♡♡♡♡♡
We should be home sooner than expected with lots of outpatient therapy.
