Howdy folks,
DV8 is still alive and well, we are in our third location now, currently at Mama's Pizza 7317 101 Ave Edmonton NW, soon to be DV8 once we can get some signage and stuff.
We were lucky enough to find a partner with a venue to use for our live shows and things have been pretty good so far. However, we are still waaaay behind as far as my Credit goes from keeping our previous locations afloat and we still owe a few of our investors a good chunk of change for helping us move from our first location on 99th street to our second location on Gateway Blvd...that place was brutal and way out of our price range for what were bringing in with our live shows. So even though we are still cranking out shows and maintaining somewhat of a living it would be nice to first of all get caught up on some old debts and if the support is there begin to put a bit more money into our current location. Our new Partner and ourselves (Jodie and I) are looking forward to renovating the current location which will be splitting the cost with our partner AND the big news is that once we get the current location looking like the rocking Venue it is we are going to invest in a new, bigger space that will be specifically set up for the sole purpose of having live bands and more then just a local pub with a stage in it - the next one is going to be our stronghold for years to come and it's going to have a lot more to offer bands and patrons alike. We even plan to keep the capilano location up and running as a venue on the side which willl give even more bands a chance to play under the DV8 banner and possibly create a few Jobs for a few of our hard core supporters who have asked to work for us over the years. SO...once we can get out of this financial gutter we've been in for the past 7 years we can start using what we bring in to improve on what we do and do even more cool stuff with it.
