34176828_1541134394955432_r.jpeg34176828_1541134421248436_r.jpegIn honour of the beautiful little angel, Amal Hussain. Amal was discharged from the hospital last week even though she was still sick, to make room for new patients. She died today in a refugee camp 4 miles from the hospital. (Nov.1, 2018)

Amal is Arabic for “hope”. We hope that we can honour her memory by promising to do everything we can to save the millions of Yemeni  children and their families, suffering from disease and famine before it’s too late.

Millions of Yemenis are on the brink of starvation. This man-made humanitarian crisis is described as “the worst famine in the world in 100 years”.

Canadian Defenders for Human Rights has provided much needed humanitarian aid  to the most vulnerable families in Yemen and we want to continue our noble cause but we cannot do
so without your help.  I will be collecting all donations on my personal bank account on behalf of CD4HR and once we have met the goal we will transfer the funds to our contacts in Yemen via Western Union or money gram. 100% of the donations will go to helping purchase food items for the needy families. Documentation and videos will be provided and there will be complete transparency throughout the campaign.

Please open your hearts and donate generously to this cause. Yemen literally cannot wait. They need us now!

Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity ❤️

We did it! We’ve reached our goal of raising 30K for #Yemen!! But we can’t stop now!

We are very excited to announce our next project...

Canadian Defenders for Human Rights in collaboration with the Yemeni Community in Canada are collecting funds for our new housing campaign in #Yemen.
Our team has reached areas in dire need of better sheltering where our oppressed brothers and sisters are truly suffering in barely livable conditions. There is an urgent need for better housing with the current cold weather and we would like to immediately respond to this need. After conducting field studies and researching what will be required to execute this project, we have found that it will cost approximately $700CDN to build one shelter that will house 6 people. We would like to help as many families as possible.

Please donate what you can and share this campaign!

It’s more than just about providing emergency food aid. At #CD4HR [Canadian Defenders For Human Rights] we are always working to find new ways to make people more self-reliant so that they are not solely dependent on food aid.
On December 31, 2018 and January 1, 2019, #CD4HR in partnership with the Yemeni Community in Canada purchased sewing machines for 6 families in Sada’a at the cost of $1160USD.

These families are now able to sew garments and sell them, providing much needed income for their families!

Please donate so that we can continue to help these families: bit.ly/2AT9O8H

On Dec. 31, 2018 #CD4HR[Canadian Defenders For Human Rights] in partnership with Yemeni Community in Canada delivered 11 food baskets in Sana’a and 10 in Dhamar to the most vulnerable families. The food baskets consisted of rice, flour, beans, oil and sugar.
Thank you to Khadoj Ali for her tireless efforts in distributing this aid to families.
