Supporting Sebastian Gomez's Family

Donation protected
There was a fatal accident that occurred on March 11, 2016 in Chilliwack, B.C. With profound sadness, we all try to cope with the fact that at the age of 24 years old, there was a man that was taken away from his family, friends, and coworkers. His name was Sebastian Gomez. Sebastian was born in Colombia (Republica de Colombia), South America. He was survived by his wife, Mariana Valencia, son, Juan Diego Gomez, daughter, Alicia Gomez, mother, Noridia Obando, and father, Arbey Gomez and youngest brother Jose Miguel Gomez. He will forever be in the hearts of many; but his wife, son, daughter, mother and father, and other family members’ lives will be forever changed. They need our support; but not just today, this week or this month. They need it for their future. For those of you who personally know this wonderful man / family, we need to remember not just now, but months and years from now that this family needs constant support. Apart from the fact that the grief process can be trying most times, they also need to stabilize their future for these children. Also, Sebastian’s parents were saying that he wanted his parents and his younger brother to move out here from Alberta so they could be a closer knit family and all be together. It was just two weeks ago; his parents quit their jobs and brought Sebastian’s youngest brother (their youngest son) to move out here to be with their son, his wife, one-year-old granddaughter (niece), and two-year-old grandson (nephew). The parents have not found employment yet since their recent move to B.C. For anyone who has lost a loved one, you would empathize that it may be a while before they are able to. Right now, their focus is to get through the next few weeks and support one another while they learn to adjust.

The family commented that they were blessed to have these two weeks here. Sebastian and his brother have had some time to bond, and at the age of 16 he had the opportunity to have one driving lesson with his big brother. It is unfortunate there cannot be more; but he had one. I am sure it will be forever treasured.

Every single person has the ability to share their support in their own personal way. If you can donate funds to help this family, it would be appreciated. If you can donate prayers to help this family, it would be appreciated. Anything you could do to help this family would be appreciated.

As their children grow, they need to hear by those close family and friends of how wonderful their dad was. If you know Sebastian personally please feel free to email a personal message or support message to the family: [email redacted].
