My name is Nya Marie Walentowski. It was supposed to be just a fun night on the town with my boyfriend, Evan Kingrea and some friends, celebrating the New Year after a very stressful several months. It started out perfect and we even got to have a romantic and special New Years kiss.

Unfortunatlet shortly after midnight Evan got attacked by a group of people in front of one of our favorite places to go, The Pioneer, in downtown Anchorage. After being rushed to the hospital on an ambulance and after running tests and a CAT scan they inform us that he has multiple fractures on both sides of his face and nose. He also took a blow to the back of his head. But primarily the left side of his face was their biggest concern and that it will require surgery.

I don't feel comfortable doing this sort of thing but I know finances have been tough for Evan lately, and me as well. So I am just focusing on that. Not having medical insurance and now not being able to work for an unknown amount of time due to the surgery is going to be a huge blow to the bank account.

We have no idea how much all of this is going to cost exactly, but every little bit counts, and at this point, we're desperate. It would mean the world to us to have help for this and we couldn't thank you enough for those who are able to help.
