Purple Heart Monument

The Holly Village Council unanimously approved and issued a proclamation officially marking Holly a “Purple Heart Village”.  Holly is one of only a few villages/cities in Oakland County to obtain this status.  The Holly VFW Post 5587 and the Military Oder of the Purple Heart are establishing a fund raising campaign to obtain the funds need to purchase and erect a “Purple Heart Village” monument .  No tax payer monies will be spend or used to fund this project.  This monument will serve as a reminder to all Holly citizens and vistors that we have not forgotten the ultimate sacrifice that our past, current and future Veterans have made to protect our country.
