Macklyn's Memory


Macklyn was the princess of Smithville. At just five years old, she was the blond-haired, blue eyed face of our town. She was a firecracker with a love for dancing, music, tee ball, summer school, and her family.  You could catch her every Wednesday with her mom at Lafuenta, where she was the life of the party. She always wanted to go somewhere, see someone, do something. She had a thirst for life. 

Sunday night, Mack was in a terrible car accident that heartbreakingly took her from us too soon. The family is in complete shock and are broken hearted over the sudden loss of their baby girl. I can't possibly imagine them having to worry about medical expenses, funeral costs, and a memorial. 

Mackadoodle was full of life. She made so many beautiful memories with her family and friends, and she couldn't have been loved more. People in town would drive by her and her mom Sam's house to honk as Mack would wave from the front porch.  If you didn't wave back, she would tell you about it the next time she saw you. She was quite the social butterfly. Never knowing a stranger. 

Macklyn loved music, dancing, and singing. She was my biggest fan, and hardly ever missed a show. I will miss her at my concerts dancing like crazy and singing along to her favorites songs: "Jolene" and "Strawberry Wine." I always had to make sure those were in my set list if she was in the crowd. She took the best selfies too; with that vibrant, toothy grin of hers.
