EuroEnviro is an annual international symposium about sustainability for young, inspiring people. The inclusive conference connects international students with diverse backgrounds to discuss and exchange ideas and experiences on social and ecological sustainability.
Since its founding in 1995, EuroEnviro has been hosted in 20 different cities all over Europe. Every year it inspires young people to start initiatives and take action, and each year EuroEnviro travels to a new city and is organized by local students. This year, EuroEnviro 2016 will be held in Denmark for the first time.
We are a group of students from the University of Copenhagen and Copenhagen Business School. After
contacting numerous organizations and institutions, including applying for funding from the EU and local government organizations, we have come up short in terms of funding. In order for the symposium to take place this year, we will need to raise another 7,500 euros. Without your help, the symposium will be cancelled for the first time since it was started 20 years ago!
The conference, focused on ‘Building the Future’, will take place in Copenhagen, between the 7th and 15th of May. The week’s focus will be on the future of urban sustainability. The participants will get a chance to meet with lecturers and decision makers to explore solutions for transportation, energy, food security and social sustainability.
