2-year-old Michael Sipe has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a form of cancer that involves a tumor in his stomach. He is undergoing chemotherapy at this time, and has to be hospitalized for 5 days at time when receiving the chemo.

As you can imagine there are so many extra expenses not covered by health care when you have a child who is facing cancer.  Michael's mom, Tiffany, quit her job so that she can move into Michael's hospital  room for five days at a time and be there whenever he wakes up every time he goes in for chemo. His sister, 7-year-old Aiyana, needs more aftercare than usual, and even just the parking every time a family member goes to the hospital really adds up.

After the diagnosis Andre (Michael's Dad), Tiffany, Aiyana, and Michael moved out of their home to live with family members; we are hoping they will have the resources to be able to get back into their own digs once Michael is declared cancer free!

I'm a concerned neighbor and I set up this site for the family so that they have one less thing to worry about during the next seven months while they walk this difficult road.  Whatever money is received goes directly to the mom's (Tiffany Sipe's) bank account.

Thank you so much for giving, it means so much to this family to know they have support both moral and material, and to know that people are thinking about them and praying for them.

Huge thanks to all who have prayed, shared, donated, and sent well wishes. I've just received an update from the family that Michael is now CANCER FREE and his second scan just came back negative! Michael received a Make-A-Wish grant to go to Disney World and the family is heading off on Monday. Because Michael is still on a feeding pump they will be traveling by car and could use some help with travel money because the grant covered Disney but not the gas, meals, and hotels, etc that it will take to get there and back. Every little bit will help them and what a great way to celebrate Michael's return to health! Again, thanks to everyone for all your support of this family during the last year and a half.

Thank you for all your support of Michael and his family through this last year and a half! I know you will be relieved to hear that Michael is officially in remission and hopefully being released today from the hospital, where he has been for the past nine weeks! He still has a feeding tube for the time being because his digestive system has been so messed up by all the chemo and radiation. We're all hoping to watch him return to a healthy weight and start playing in the yard instead of being in the hospital. Please keep in Michael in your prayers and thoughts as his recovery period begins, and thank you THANK YOU THANK YOU for all the support you have given this family in thought and in deed.
