The events of March 21st in Southend will unfortunately never be forgotten where one of the worst possible outcomes of watching your beloved team occurred.
Simon Dobbin had just been to see his team, Cambridge United, play away in Southend and afterwards on his way home was viciously assaulted.
As the Cambridge Half Marathon is nearly a year on from the events of that terrible day I wanted to do what I could to help Simon and his family.
I would therefore like to raise as much money as possible to support Simon and his family.
