Frank Britton, the DC Theater community's beloved ChaiLatte Brother, and true loving, giving friend, was attacked on Monday, May 26, 2014 as he was hailing a cab in downtown Silver Spring, MD after a performance at the Forum Theater.

Frank is one of the hardest working actors in this town, and depends on his stage work for his livelihood. Medical bills will undoubtedly pile up after this attack, so let's chip in and make his full recovery easier!

I'm one of the many who donated after the goal was met. Why? Because it feels like a vote against this kind of senseless idiocy rampant in the world and for people like Frank.

Frank, I don't know you but hope to in the future. Experienced a similar incident many moons ago. Panic attacks in certain settings may be part of your reality for a while. Glad you have such a great community. You would have been proud of the fine performances of your colleagues, in spite of your absence. Take care. --Lauren
