I have been diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
I am setting up this fund asking for you to help our family off set huge expense's associated with working toward a cure for my lymphoma.
The third week of February 2016, I was having an issue with a tooth and had gone in to see the dentist, we made plans to remove it and that there was a possible infection around the area so they prescribed some antibiotics.
On Monday February 29th, I noticed some swelling on the right side of my neck, and I called to make and appointment with my doctor to see what was going on. I thought it was a possible side effect from the tooth infection.
Once the doctor took a look at it I could see on her face that something was wrong, she asked about night sweats, coughing, or if the swelling hurt or not. I was dealing with all of these symptoms but wasn't sure what was going on. I was scheduled for blood work, and a CT Scan the next day, after that was done I received a call before lunch on March 1st that I had Lymphoma, and that they were doing what they could to get me into a specialist right away.
March 3rd, my wife and I saw the specialist and was set up to have a PET scan and CT Scan of the rest of my body on Monday, and to also have a consultation with the surgeon on Monday the 7th of March. On Wednesday the 9th of March I had a biopsy done of the Lymph nodes in my neck and also had a power port put in my chest to help with future treatments.
They have determined that I have Hodgkin's Lymphoma, stage 2. I am scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy on Monday, March 14th, and then start treatments on Wednesday March 16th and then on for the next 6 months.
The family is dealing with the news well, and are very supportive, my job is 100% behind me getting healthy and supporting me through this process. We are safely in the Lord's hands.
