Jason "Jake" Pansier was in a farm accident on July 8th, 2015.  Jake was pinned under a 40,000 pound tractor where it took rescue crews two hours to free him.  When Jake was free, he was flown by helicopter to Auora where he was stabilized.  The following morning Jake was flown to Froedtert hospital where he spent the following 8 weeks.  Due to the muscle damage Jake lost his left leg.  The tractor landed very high on his leg in result his amputation was very high, prosthetic options will need to be look at by specialists out of state.  Jake had 26 surgeries and received over 300 units of blood.

Jake is a active farmer in the De Pere area and a captain of the Ledgeview Fire Department.  Jake plans to return to things he has always loved to do; farm and fight fires.

Jake returned home on September 5th, 2015, welcomed by many family and friends.

Jake has a long road ahead of him, he will need to leave his right leg elevated for 5 more months as he continues to heal.  Jake needs assistance with medical expenses.

Jake appreciates everyone that has helped in any way (prayer, manure pit, welcome home parade, home adaptions, donated blood and just by sending well wishes).  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Thank you for the continued support through this journey.  Be Well!
Love,
Holly Schlag (Jake's sister)
