April Jace’s Children’s Fund
On May 19th, our dearly loved, April Jace was killed in a senseless act of domestic violence.
April was a vibrant, beautiful woman and an incredibly dedicated mother. We will all miss her contagious laughter, vivacious personality and her radiant smile. She leaves behind three sons (5, 8, and 18-years old). She loved them with a fierce love.
Many of you have generously given to the “Go Fund Me” page we set up to cover the cost of April’s funeral. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
For April’s family and those who loved her, the funeral is only the beginning of a journey of navigating grief and processing the trauma surrounding her death. The specific circumstances have made a heartbreaking loss even more bitter.
And now, her two youngest sons are left without a mother or a father to care for them.
When the press dies down, these precious young boys will be left with ongoing reminders of their utterly tragic loss. Graduations, Birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day will serve as ongoing reminders of the void that is left behind. Their baseball games will forever be absent of April’s loud, boisterous voice, emphatically cheering them on from the sidelines.
We cannot give them their mother back. But, we can do our part to rally around them and ensure that they are taken care of emotionally, physically and financially.
The children have been placed with close family members and will remain in their care. The boys will be raised along with two of their young cousins and are surrounded by an incredible extended family that is committed to loving and supporting them for the rest of their lives.
We cannot reverse the senseless violence that resulted in April’s death, but we can take a stand against Domestic Violence and invest in the lives of two innocent children that are paying the price for it.
Many of you have continued to ask us how you can help. We have set up this page in order to raise funds to help the family to provide care for April's children.
Please take a stand against Domestic Violence and invest in the lives of these two precious children. April was an unbelievably incredible mother. Ensuring that her children are cared for with the excellence she would have wanted is the greatest way we can honor her life and memory.
We covet every prayer and ask that you continue to stand by us in this way, especially for her three beautiful sons.
