This letter is to introduce you to Ethan Ferro, who by placing 1st at several of the Northeast Regional Qualifying Tournaments held this spring, has qualified to compete for the National Championship at the Asics Kids Nationals in Utah this June. While NYS does not take a team to this tournament, Ethan has been invited to join the Pennsylvania National Team to travel to Utah for the competition. New York & Pennsylvania are well known for their exceptional wrestling programs, always producing high quality, tough competitors.
By being selected for this team, Ethan has been recognized as one of the Northeast’s best Freestyle & Greco-Roman Wrestlers in the Kids Division (ages 8-14). In securing a position on the team, Ethan has demonstrated a high level of wrestling skill, determination, and dedication to the sport of Amateur Wrestling.
Ethan and the Pennsylvania Team will be competing at the Asics Kids National Championships to be held in Orem, Utah, on June 23rd – 25th, 2014. This event is one of the most important Amateur Wrestling Tournaments of the year for the 8-14 year old “Kids” age division. It is expensive to make this opportunity a reality for Ethan and the remainder of these young athletes. As Ethan’s dad and head coach of Superior Wrestling, I am writing to ask for your contribution to assist Ethan in meeting the expenses of the trip. Your kind and generous sponsorship of this wrestler will aid in his quest to represent himself and Pennsylvania at this prestigious National Championship.
All funds collected will go directly toward the costs for Ethan’s team gear, tournament fees, 3 day training camp, transportation, and lodging costs while he competes in Utah. The total cost to send a wrestler to the National Championships is $1,200, plus meal money in Orem, Utah.
