Please help us raise vital funds to save Stuart’s life ❤️❤️❤️

Stuart was diagnosed with a Grade 4 brain tumour in December at the age of 53. He has had surgery to remove 99% of the tumour and is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy, however the doctors are rather clear this won’t save him and it’s just to keep him alive longer.

Watching a loved one die is something I hope nobody ever has to experience but this is our reality. We need help to get him the treatment he deserves.

The Standard Of Care for patients with a brain tumour of this type is chemotherapy and Radiotherepy for 6 weeks , followed by 6 cycles of the chemotherapy temozolomide over a 6 month period - If you do not have a methylated biomarkers , this Chemotherapy is very unlikely to be successful- However this is the only option available on the NHS at the present time .
Stuart has had 3 cycles on the NHS - It has not worked . However a different type of chemotherapy that is part of standard of care throughout Europe and America for this disease that was previously funded on the NHS in the U.K is available if self funded. This is what we are raising money for now. It will cost £54000 for a 12 months cycle.

Stuart has been a police officer for nearly 30 years , proudly serving the community with Derbyshire Constabulary, committing his working life to keeping people safe. He was very much looking forward to his well earned retirement in May, unfortunately the excitement was taken away from him with the awful diagnosis which is cruelly taking his future away.

He is literally the kindest and bravest man you could ever wish to meet. I can’t bear the thought of life without him or my children not growing up with him by their side. He is their hero, their rock, their all time favourite person who they love unconditionally.

This is why we are appealing for help. Please share our story and donate anything you can, every penny helps and may save a life.

The treatment is there we just can't afford to have it ....

A persons life matters and no one is more important than another regardless of their bank account. I can’t just sit back knowing treatment is out there and do nothing.

Please help get him the treatment he deserves ❤️

Any moneys not used towards treatments for Stuart will be used to help improve his quality of life xx

As you all know Stuart sadly passed away last month. Thank you so much for all the donations and support, I know without them we would have not have had as long with him and we would also have always wondered if we could have done more. We know in our hearts we could not have done anything else to try and save him and that brings with it some peace.

I’m closing this page down now but we have set up a Stuart Parker tribute fund with ashgate to raise money for ashgate hospice moving forward. Out of all the hospitals and alternative care he received ashgate truly went above and beyond and they deserve every penny we raise.

Love Jasmin xxx

Tomorrow is a big day for stuart as it is the pre appointment prior to commencing his new chemotherapy on Wednesday. This will be the first time he will receive via a port intravenously and we are all feeling a little nervous . This disease steals a part of him day by day.
The news of the regrowth has deeply effected Stuart’s morale and sadly has dwindled his positivity to beat the disease. We need him not to give up..We need to beat this ❤️ we know his treatment, if successful will starve the blood supply to the tumour rendering it unable to grow. We know this treatment will help him regain what he has lost. We need £54,000 to pay for this for a year which we are nearly half way to reaching purely from of all the kind donations we have received!
No amount would be too much to keep him with us, happy and content where he belongs. Thank you so much for all your messages of support and love. It means so very much

❤️❤️❤️Thank you so much to everyone that arranged and attended Stuarts retirement gathering tonight.

Sadly Stuart has deteriorated suddenly today and for the first time in his brave battle, is suffering from seizure activity, leaving him obviously devastated that he couldn’t come and celebrate with you all.

Have a drink from all of us and fingers crossed this will pass xxx

Please people keep sharing our story. It doesn’t have to be this way and he deserves every chance #acurecantwait #glioblastoma

raising awareness is a comfort to us all and brings some purpose to the hell we’re living.

Xxx
