This is a not for profit organisation, any money earned will be used to extend the services. Hopefully, people who can’t afford to maintain their gardens will be able to have it looked after for FREE.
Two years ago my husbands life was turned upside down, after relentless specialist appointments, tests and a 3 month stay in hospital he was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder. His brain sends signals which give him severe pain all over his body. He gets pains in his legs, chest, head, It’s now even impaired his hearing He suffers daily.
FND is due to a problem with the functioning of the nervous system and thought to be the result of the brain’s inability to send and receive signals properly, rather than disease. FND can be as debilitating as Parkinson’s disease and MS and have many similar symptoms.
This meant as a front line police officer he could no longer do his job and was medically retired, this crushed Nick he absolutely loved his job it gave him a sense of purpose. The past few years have been tough, very tough,
After over hearing a conversation about how a lady was in pain after doing some simple weeding in her garden Nick suggested he go and do it for her next time for free.
He loves gardening and is about the only thing he can still do, since this disease took hold of him, he seems to have become quite proficient in gardening, although he is losing other skills this skill has stuck with him.
He is very competent and methodical. He wouldn’t be doing anything dangerous, I would RISK ASSESS all his jobs first
He now wants to help as many people as possible, especially in particular the disabled and elderly.
but equipment, marketing, travel, stationary, the list goes on isn’t cheap and we can’t afford on our own to extend the service as nick is having to loan or hire tools.
Please help with what ever you can, Nick spent years as a police officer helping people and wants to continue to help others even today, even going through what he is going through.
He doesnt want to make profit, he simply wants and purpose and to help people. Any money earned will be used to extend the service.
