Mom's Dream Vacation

Last year, Stephanie (my mom) was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma brain cancer. Since then she has been going through regular treatments to help keep the cancer at bay.

I currently live in Hawaii with my significant other who is stationed here in the Navy. My mom has always been a parrot head and used to make jokes that she'd be perfectly fine being homeless in the Key West as long as she had a hammock to sleep in near the ocean.

I'd like to give my mom a dream vacation she's never had the opportunity to experience before and show her things I've learned while living here.

What I have in mind is a lot to ask for, but hopefully I can reach my goals to ensure everything I have in mind can happen for my mom.

To explain the cost in a little more detail, I plan to have my mom come out on the last weekend of November and spend a week here. I would like to have my mom come out via first class due to the fact the flight is very long and she has pain management issues when sitting due to sciatic nerve damage and arthritis. I'd like for her trip out here to be as comfortable as possible (plus, it's a dream vacation for a reason!) However first class tickets, especially round trip are not cheap and I've been looking at prices approximately $1950 due to it being towards the end of the year (holidays, cold weather so people are escaping, etc).

Once mom gets here, I had intended for us to have a woman I met who is a physical trainer and previous Miss Hawaii and local resident of Hawaii be my mom's personal tour guide for us during the days. Pamela knows the island, knows the history and knows what sort of fun activities and places for us to both experience for the first time together. However I would like to compensate Pamela for gas and amenities during that time frame. Any extra money would go towards gift shopping and specifically for my mom to use during her dream vacation and any potential left overs would be kept with her for her to take home with her to use as she needs for assistance.

The beach has always been the one place that makes my mom the happiest, and I could easily just go back to the mainland, economy flight, and visit my mom - however I wanted to make this special and bring her out to a place she's never experienced before and show her how beautiful Hawaii is.
