The High Heel Hiker

Climbing Ben Nevis in high heel shoes - should it be done? Can it be done? 

My name is Ben Conway and on the 27th of June I am going to attempt to reach the peak of Ben Nevis wearing heels, in the name of defeating adversity. 

This project has been born from a scholarship application to SCA (School of Creative Arts) in Brixton, titled: 

"Make us passionate about something you're passionate about".

I originally was going to say how I am passionate about wearing heels, this sounds like a passion of inflicting pain on myself! Instead, I found every person I have told about this initally gasped, and proceeded to say how it couldn't be done.  My new passion is about proving them wrong.

I need your support because this hike would be pointless without a cause, and I believe Stonewall have the history and foresight, to carry through support to the next generation of LGBT+ young people in the UK.

There will be a 2 minute film produced of my journey climbing from top to bottom, so you will be able to see the pain and trouble I will go through, in getting to the top!
