Timmy's Recovery

In honor of his senior summer, Tim and a bunch of friends were out at the lake celebration high school graduation. When an accident took place. Tim thought his shoulder may have been dislocated, so he waited for his mom to come an take him to the hospital.  After receiving an MRI, he learned there were two fractures in his neck. He was transported by ambulance to a trauma center. The staff informed us that it was a miracle that he had been able to walk in; he should have been in a wheel chair eating out of a straw, they said. Within 24 hours, he underwent a successful surgery and is now currently in recovery. 

He and his family are very grateful that the surgery was a success as his story has just began. Despite having just had knee surgery a little over a month ago, Tim was still able to graduate high school last week. He was looking forward to getting a summer job to help him get his first vehicle before his family relocates out of state. The road to recovery is still long for this 18 year old. The rest of the week will be healing from the surgery. In one month, he will have follow up visit with his surgeon. In 3 months, after the neck brace is removed, he may need physical therapy.

With the MRI, ambulance, surgery, prescriptions, follow up doctor appointments and the possibility of physical therapy, he is starting off "in the real world" with hospital expenses and unable to earn a dollar for himself. For this reason, we are hoping to help Tim alleviate some financial stress of starting his adult life with medical bills, while he is still recovering.
