Team Elliot

The Shafer family is asking for your prayers, support, and donations in order to help with medical costs for their 3 year old son Elliot's recent kidney transplant.

We thank you for your support as our family continues on our journey to help Elliot live as full of a life as possible. Elliot is a happy, easy going, courageous little boy who was born blind. He has already had multiple surgeries and was in Stage 5 kidney failure before his transplant this January. We are asking for your support in order to pay for the medical costs involved.

Elliot also has a twin sister Naomi who is healthy and happy. Elliot has touched so many lives and our hope is that he continues to be at peace and happy while he goes through his medical situations.

We work with him daily to try to push him from his comfort zone of staying to himself and go beyond. We have a lot of cause and effect toys (toys that vibrate or make sounds) to try and peak his interest to move towards the sound. We will get there eventually! We just need to continue on his path and remember all the things he's achieved and not compare him to his sister or other kids. Elliot's in a class of his own!

Please keep Elliot and our family in your prayers. He is a fighter and has been through so much for being so young. We hope that his recent surgery will help him to be able to live his life as fully as possible.
