Kitty Purry's Vet Bills

This is Kitty Purry, our gorgeous and super sweet Maine Coon mix.
About a month ago, she was attack and nearly killed by a pitbull. The dog fractured her jaw, tore her tongue, and left her with an infection that spread over the course of just 24 hours.
The vet said it was either put her down or put her in emergency surgery. Naturally, the surgery was over $2,000. A wire had to be put in her jaw to fuse it back together, and she had to have stitches in her tongue. The wire is scheduled to come out soon and the stitches have dissolved.
Kitty isn't just a beloved pet in our household. She means much more to us than that and has truly added so much to our lives- especially when it comes to my fiance.
My fiance is a former combat medic with the U.S. Army (he's no longer active duty and is now a Reservist and in college studying to be a nurse). He's served 2 tours of duty (1 each in Afghanistan and Iraq), and naturally was diagnosed with PTSD, severe anxiety, depression, etc.. Since bringing Kitty home, she's almost entirely relieved all of his symptoms of PTSD and has been phenomenal with alleviating his depression and anxiety. She's truly a very special, one of a kind animal.
Because Kitty is so well behaved and so sweet, they were kind enough to let us make monthly payments (something they don't normally do), but we still had to put down almost half of the total bill and are still having to pay quite a bit every month.
Even though we're on a payment plan, it's still caused a strain in our financial situation and we've had to put off paying other bills to take care of our girl.
We aren't the kinds of people to ask for help like this, and in spite of friends encouraging us to go this route, it's still hard for us to do so.
Anything anyone can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
