Erin Nippert & her son need our help!

With unexplainable saddness & heartache, I am reaching out to all of my sister's friends & family in hopes of gaining any type of support for Erin & her beautiful son Clayton. Erin has been diagnosed with liver failure. A great deal of you know the abuse my sister suffered previously at the hands of someone she loved. To numb the pain of what she was enduring at home, her drinking got really out of control. With any addiction, especially alcohol,  its not always as simple as just stopping. That takes strength.  The ptsd my sister has suffered , as does my nephew from watching it all, had taken that strength away for a long time. Unbeknownst to us, while Erin did finally win her on going battle against alcohol, the damage was done. Self awareness isnt always easy. Erin hid this from all of us. Even when in enormous amounts of pain, she would still play with her son, neice and nephews. For anyone who knows Erin,  its not unlike her to try and protect those she loves at all cost- even when it may cost her life. While we were aware that she was experiencing some minor damage, it wasnt until last week that I discovered an unimaginable nightmare. My sister would die without a new liver. And fast. How could this come so fast we all asked. When i started questioning she simply said "i messed up & dont want to die". Yesterday, after only a matter of days, she was intubated and then later flown to the Critical Care Unit in Richmond. As my brother and I sit in fear and enormous sadness, I want to ask for prayers and love for my sweet nephew Clay. Erin fought to be a good and strong mother to her son until the very bitter end. She recieved no moral support . She had no one to vent to or to express any fears. She had no help. Erin fought this battle by herself , for her child. My sister endured so much pain and hardship during her 29 years of life, but in the end, she still chose to protect her loved ones by any means necessary. Erin Nippert is the bravest woman I know. I pray that my 5 year old sweet & loving nephew grows to be like his momma. Her only real concern is her child. This beautiful  & resilient, funny & independent single mother made it her goal to find strength to overcome even the impossible. She didnt want anyone to worry about her. She didnt want anyone to worry abouther medical costs, providing stability for her son & she didnt want anyone worrying about the cost of a service. She didnt want to be treated the way she would have if everyone knew. She wanted to live her life with Clay. She wanted to be the mother she always had been. Through sickness and in health, the perfect & mistakes, she dedicated her life to her son; just as a mother should. Upon being intubated I, her older sister, became her power of attorney. I am trying to accept the news we confirmed with the day & night liver teams. Erins prognosis. If she continues at the steady pace which she has been, the outcome is not good. The next day or so will determine that tine frame more so. I take this time to ask everyone reading this to help. Whether in the form of love, support, medical expenses and clays future. Any moral support is very much appreciated.  This is singke handedly the hardest thing I have endured, but the strength in which i know my little sister just showed will get us through this. Thank you so much everyone.  I will keep you all updated.
