Help Local Farm, Greenhouses Down

As many of you have already heard, our business, Boulevard Flower Gardens has been hit very hard by this winter storm Jonas. We are a small third generation garden center that has been doing business since 1955. We know nothing different than growing the best plant material and having amazing customer service, with community driven influences. We have used our growing production greenhouses (shown in images) since 2000 to grow about 65% of our plant material that we sell year round to the tri-cities. It is with a saddened heart to write that two of our cold framed greenhouses have not been able to withstand this particular storm and have collapsed completely with the snow accumulation. This is not only a huge problem that they have fallen, but also that we have lost a small amount of plant material, labor, materials, and most importantly growing room for our Spring crop and Hothouse Tomatoes.  Of course we will be attempting to file insurance claims, but as they are "older property" we know we will not recieve all that we need. There is also more to the situation, like heaters to replace (or try to save), tubing for the irrigation systems, etc. We also know that the time with the insurance process is too priceless and could take well into/past the Spring growing season. We, as a business, your community partner, a small local family (most importantly) and dear friends to many of you... are writing and asking for whatever small donations possible to help with the rebuilding of these valuable greenhouses AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to get Spring plants planted & ready to go, as it is right around the corner. We have already began to plan their arrival before this terrible incident had occurred. We are also asking for you to SHARE this page, and we understand if you are not able to donate, but if you are able to lend a helping hand or know someone that is, & would love to volunteer and just donate your time in the near future; to either help with the greenhouse rebuilding, takedown, snow removal, etc. PLEASE contact us!
